Sound Healing Traditions: Tibetan vs Vedic Sound Healing Methods

by | Jun 19, 2025 | Blog | 0 comments

In Sound Healing Practice, there are mainly two methods: the Vedic Sound Healing method and the Tibetan Sound Healing method. In the Vedic method, the notes of the bowls used for the chakras are different, while in the Tibetan method, the notes of the bowls are different. To determine which note will have the most impact on a particular chakra, only an experienced practitioner can guide you, and then it can be understood through personal experience. Alternatively, by using one specific note with a certain intensity and duration, we can apply it to any chakra. To figure out which method is more effective, deep practice is necessary. It’s also possible that Vedic Sound Healing works better for some people, while Tibetan Sound Healing might resonate more with others. For now, what we should understand is which notes are used for which chakras in both Vedic and Tibetan Sound Healing.

Notes Used in Vedic Method:

  • Root Chakra – C
  • Sacral Chakra – D
  • Solar Plexus Chakra – E
  • Heart Chakra – F
  • Throat Chakra – G
  • Third Eye Chakra – A
  • Crown Chakra – B

Notes Used in Tibetan Method:

  • Root Chakra – F
  • Sacral Chakra – C
  • Solar Plexus Chakra – G
  • Heart Chakra – D
  • Throat Chakra – A
  • Third Eye Chakra – E
  • Crown Chakra – B

For deeper knowledge, we must observe and experience it on ourselves after practicing both methods.
